The world is facing a global crisis the majority is unaware of: We are running out of sand. Sand is currently the 2nd most extracted material on Earth after water and we will soon deplete our resources if we continue to mine sand at this rate.
This depletion is already visible, currently, 9 out of 10 beaches are retreating worldwide and if we don’t make drastic changes, experts say that by 2100 there will be no more beaches left.
