The Product Stewardship Society announced that Tina Armstrong will be presented with the 2022 Allan K. Fleeger Distinguished Service Award during PSX, the Society’s annual conference. PSX 2022 will occur Oct. 18–20 in Louisville, Kentucky. Armstrong, a member of the Product Stewardship Society since 2015, has been instrumental to the Society and the development of the product stewardship profession. As the chair of the Conference Committee, she has worked to ensure the quality of presentations at PSX. In addition, she played a key role in the development of education courses and webinars for product stewards, including the Certified Professional Product Steward (CPPS) exam prep course and the CPPS Study Guide, which will debut at PSX 2022. Armstrong is a member of the product stewardship faculty at the Indiana University Fairbanks School of Public Health, where she co-instructs product stewardship strategy and management.

The Allan K. Fleeger Distinguished Service Award was established in 2018 and named after the Society’s first president. “This award allows us to celebrate those who have demonstrated dedication and service to the Product Stewardship Society throughout their careers,” said IBM advisory engineer, Rebecca Morones, CPPS, Product Stewardship Society member and nominator of Armstrong.  “Tina’s contributions make her the perfect candidate.”
