Mid America Recycling’s Lincoln location has changed ownership again and will operate under a new name. The company said that it has sold the Lincoln facility at 440 J St. to Kelley McReynolds, its general manager. He has changed the name to Green Quest Recycling.

The recycling center opened in 1996 as Midland Recycling and had the same owners until 2007, when it was sold to Greenstar Recycling. Since then, it was sold to Palmer Refuse in 2009, then back to some of the original Midland owners in 2014. Those owners changed the company name to Mid America in 2015 and moved their headquarters to Des Moines.

McReynolds has been the facility’s general manager since it was reacquired in 2014. “My staff and I are committed to using our experience and professionalism to create further growth and expansion in the Lincoln facility,” McReynolds said. Mid America said in its news release that under McReynolds’ management the Lincoln facility has nearly tripled the amount of recyclable material it processes, from 800 tons a month in 2014 to 2,300 tons a month now.
