KingsPoint Capital, LLC, a middle-market investment banking firm, recently facilitated the sale of its client, MAT & Recycling to Waste Services of Texas, LLC, a division of Santek Waste Services, headquartered in Cleveland, Tennessee.

Opened in January of 2017 by 30-year waste industry veteran, Cindy Osburg, MAT & Recycling’s Transfer Station has quickly emerged as a major player within the waste industry. Strategically located square within a massive building boom, the Station’s volume continues to increase and should serve as a vital asset to the area for generations to come.

“Having two prior experiences selling my company, I can confidently say my experience with KingsPoint was superior in every way,” said Cindy Osburg. “From spending the time to get up to speed on my industry and my Station’s value drivers, through effectively running the marketing process and negotiating the transaction, KingsPoint paid attention to the details ensuring nothing fell through the cracks. Most importantly, KingsPoint brought multiple qualified prospective buyers to the table. We truly could not have gotten this accomplished without their expertise.”

MAT & Recycling’s Transfer Station will bolt onto existing Texas operations of Santek Waste Services. “After exploring discussions for several years, we are excited to finally purchase this strategic asset from Cindy, who has done an impressive job of quickly building up the Station’s throughput,” said Tim Watts of Santek Waste Services. “We look forward to integrating MAT & Recycling into our Texas footprint as we continue to expand our capabilities within the region.”
