Lakeshore Recycling Systems will resume the collection of bulk items/white goods this week and curbside electronics recycling next month after both programs were temporarily suspended in March due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Bulk items are objects that are too large to fit into a garbage cart or can, such as a mattress or furniture; white goods are appliances. Geneva residents can attach a refuse sticker to each bulk or white good item set out with garbage on their normal collection day. Mattresses must be wrapped or enclosed in plastic. An unwrapped mattress will not be picked up by Lakeshore’s crews. Lakeshore’s curbside electronics recycling program also will be reinstated beginning in June.
