Responding to Laredo’s rapid growth and increasing demand for efficient waste management, the Laredo Solid Waste Services has announced significant changes to its trash pickup schedule. The expansion will see trash collection in central Laredo increase from two days a week to three days.

The decision was announced during the city council meeting, where officials highlighted the city’s need for enhanced service due to population growth. The Solid Waste Director emphasized that restructuring routes to three days a week will ensure more timely and effective trash removal.

Residents in central Laredo, currently on a two-day pickup schedule, will soon receive notification stickers on their bins detailing the change.
