Mack Trucks’ dealer Tri-State Truck Center, Inc. recently invested $3.7 million to expand its Springfield, Missouri dealership to better serve Mack customers, offering increased parts availability and extended service support. The investment included a 10,000 square-foot expansion, bringing the footprint to 35,000 square feet, and the addition of 12 service bays, totaling 24 service bays.

“Mack Trucks is pleased that Tri-State Truck Center continues its ongoing investments in the Mack brand to provide customers outstanding service and support in its newly renovated and expanded Springfield location,” said Jonathan Randall, Mack Trucks senior vice president of North American sales and commercial operations. “Tri-State is an excellent example of the commitment Mack dealers have to our brand and customers, delivering a premium experience that meets all of their parts and service needs.”

Purchased by Tri-State in 2014, the Springfield site, located off U.S. I-44 at 2527 N. Eastgate Ave., offers $1.3 million in parts inventory and has 40 employees, four of whom are Master Technicians. The full-service dealership offers new truck sales, leasing, parts, service and body shop repair. Hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Founded in 1945 by F.A. Maddox, Sr., Tri-State Mack originally had seven employees at its Memphis location. Today, the dealership has grown to 360 employees and nine full-service locations in Tennessee, Missouri, Arkansas and Mississippi.  Tri-State also has a successful leasing company, Tri-State Leasing, with many locations throughout the southeast.

“Tri-State expanded and renovated our Springfield location to help improve the customer experience and to ensure that all customer service and support needs are met,” said Jim Maddox, dealer principal and part of the third-generation of the Maddox family to own and operate Tri-State Truck Center. “The Springfield dealership rests on a major thoroughfare, offering easy access to our customers, within a modernized facility.”
