
2nd Shift Heavy Equipment Mechanic
from Job ListingDuties and Responsibilities: This position consists of repairing and maintaining all recycling facility equipment (this includes heavy mobile equipment, conveyors, balers, shredders, etc,) installing new equipment, and performing preventive maintenance tasks. Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment and industrial recycling equipment to minimize downtime and make improvements. Perform repair work on systems including hydraulics, electronic/electrical systems, mechanical repairs, basic fabrication, preventive maintenance, and other tasks as assigned. Complete work orders and keep details notes of repairs performed. Identify necessary parts for repairs Use computers/internet to research and source part/equipment replacements Work in multiple positions, including but not limited to kneeling, bending, crouching, elevated in lifts, for extended duration's. Observe all safety requirements, and lead by example in working safely. Ability to give and receive constructive feedback for coaching. Ability to work various shifts if needed QUALIFICATIONS: 3 years of experience of related industrial troubleshooting, maintenance and repair experience on heavy equipment or in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. Balances team and individual responsibilities. Able to build consensus. Works with integrity and ethically; Upholds organizational values. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Valid State Driver’s License PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently required to stand; climb; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled production facility The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
