Our client located in Secaucus, NJ is seeking a Rear Load Driver for their sanitation company. The Rear-End Load Driver will safely operate a refuse collection vehicle, on pre-assigned and special routes collecting garbage. This is a Direct Hire opportunity with company benefits, being a part of their Union. Rear Load Driver Responsibilities · Pick up and empty Rear Load containers and loose refuse, servicing commercial businesses · Transport waste to designated landfill and/or disposal area · Open corral doors to access containers and as needed, rolls 3 – 4 yard can on castors weighing up to 600 pounds into position for dumping · Communicate with customers and report any customer issues to appropriate internal contacts · Complete route forms including productivity sheets, mileage, fuel consumption, logbook, and Vehicle Condition Reports · Responsible for safe operation of truck including pre and post trip inspections, evaluation of materials left for collections, determine hazardous materials, ensure safety of employee encountered · Clean waste from packer blade and truck body on each landfill run · Maintain clean truck and washes exterior weekly Rear Load Driver Qualifications · Must have valid Class A or B license, with 3 – 5 years experience · Waste Industry Driving experience of 2 years · Successfully complete pre-employment DOT Drug Screen · Understand refuse collection policies, procedures, guidelines, and practices, according to Department of Transportation and State requirements *Waste Industry Driver Retirees are welcomed to apply* Schedule: Monday – Friday Hours: 5pm – 1am (Overtime Available) Pay: $30.94 For immediate consideration, please send your resume to [email protected]
