Our client located in Secaucus, NJ is seeking a Tractor Trailer Driver for their sanitation company. The Tractor Trailer Driver will safely transport waste using company’s tractor trailer vehicle. This is a Direct Hire opportunity with company benefits, being a part of their Union. Tractor Trailer Driver Responsibilities · Transport large containers to disposal sites, transfer or recycling facilities and customer locations · Follow route assignments, completing end of day documentation and checkout process · Communicate customer requests to Route Manager and Dispatch · Report any incidents encountered on the road to Dispatch · Perform pre and post trip inspections of assigned equipment and document checks on standard Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR) · Inspect trailer before and after route, documenting any defects found · Maintain truck and associated equipment, clean and organized · Assist other drivers when needed, to meet customer needs Tractor Trailer Driver Qualifications · Must have valid Class A license, with 3 – 5 years experience · Waste Industry Driving experience of 2 years · Experience operating trucks with a capacity of 26,000 pounds · Successfully complete pre-employment DOT Drug Screen · Understand refuse collection policies, procedures, guidelines, and practices, according to Department of Transportation and State requirements *Waste Industry Driver Retirees are welcomed to apply* Schedule: Monday – Friday Hours: 6am – 2pm (Overtime Available) Pay: $30.94 For immediate consideration, please send your resume to [email protected]
