Meridian Waste Virginia, LLC (aka Container First Services), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Meridian Waste, an integrated, non-hazardous solid waste services company, is announcing their April 2020 Employees of the Month.

Brian Rolfe, a rolloff truck driver at the Lunenburg location, and Antoine Brown, a frontload garbage truck driver at the Petersburg location, are being recognized as the Meridian Waste / CFS April 2020 Employees of the Month for their service and commitment to the communities in which they serve.  These two gentlemen have been Meridian Waste / CFS employees since December 2019 and January 2020, respectively, and epitomize the highest standards of safety and customer service.

“Our frontline team members are the face of the Meridian Waste / CFS team,” stated Nathan Geldner, Area President of Meridian Waste Virginia, LLC.  “We are proud of how all our team members work together to keep the communities we service clean and healthy; however, recognizing those who go above and beyond the call of duty to care for our customers and strive to be environmental heroes on a daily basis is especially exciting to highlight and announce.”

Criteria for the honor include adhering to safety standards, quality of work, and performance, among additional measures. Co-workers and management choose recipients who are awarded a $100 gift card and a designated parking space for the month. The community can engage in recognizing excellent service by Meridian Waste / CFS team members through the Shout Out program.

CFS has been a part of Meridian Waste for three years and as of May 11, 2020, will transition branding entirely as Meridian Waste. While the logo will change to represent the parent company with red and blue, the core team members will remain in place serving their communities, caring for their customers, and greeting children on garbage day. All communication avenues such as email, phone, and website will remain the same for easy access for customers.
