Meridian Waste Florida, LLC, a subsidiary of Meridian Waste, an integrated, non-hazardous solid waste services company, will begin residential solid waste collection services for all of Charlton County, Ga. on Monday, November 2. “We’re proud to serve Charlton County from our Florida location in Yulee, and to provide excellent residential solid waste collection services for our neighbors to the north,” said District Manager Dave Shepler. “Charlton County is a familiar contract to many of our local team members as these solid waste professionals serviced the County in previous positions throughout their solid waste careers,” he said. “We know the unique needs and rural challenges associated with the contract, and we’re committed to investing in the right personnel and quality communications to ensure a smooth transition and solid, beneficial long-term relationship with Charlton County.”
Meridian Waste won the Charlton County municipal garbage collection contract in August 2020 through a competitive Request for Proposal (RFP) process issued by the County. Meridian Waste Florida will begin delivery of the branded 95-gallon garbage carts to residents on Saturday, October 24 with service beginning on November 2. Carts will come equipped with a decal stating the service day for each address and overall garbage guidelines to ensure a clean and healthy community.
