The National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA) welcomes Senator Jon Kyl (R) back to the United States Senate. Following an absence of six-years, Kyl was appointed by Arizona Governor Doug Ducey (R) to fill the seat held by the late Senator John McCain (R).

“Senator Kyl is renowned for his breadth and depth of knowledge across several policy areas,” stated NWRA President & CEO Darrell Smith. “Arizona, the headquarters of Republic Services which is one of the largest companies in the waste and recycling industry, is fortunate to have him representing them in the U.S. Senate.”

Kyl brings a wealth of experience with him back to the Senate. In addition to having served previously in the Senate leadership, Sen. Kyl was a member of the Senate Finance and Judiciary committees.
