PIRTEK announced executive promotions on its leadership team as the company launches into new markets and continues its rapid growth of new franchises. Dan Perry has been promoted to president in addition to his current role as chief operating officer (COO). The company has promoted Kim Gubera to vice president and chief financial officer (CFO).

PIRTEK hired Perry, a native of Rhode Island, in November 2015 as the vice president and CFO. In 2016, he also took on the role of chief operating officer (COO) and is now president and COO. Perry focuses his energies on overseeing franchise development, administration, warehousing, IT, training and other areas.

“We have a well-proven business model in place and an excellent team committed to delivering the support needed to help our franchisees grow and be successful,” said Perry, who earned an MBA/MS in accounting and business management from the Northeastern University’s Graduate School of Professional Accounting. “We ensure that our franchise owners don’t go it alone. We’re here to help them manage their accounting, business and sales – our work is all-encompassing.”

Perry, who is helping PIRTEK change to keep pace with the recent growth and technologies, has worked as a CFO/COO for mid cap companies in a number of different geographic locales during his career, including California and Panama. He earned his CPA while working at the accounting firm KPMG.

Before her promotion to CFO, Gubera worked for PIRTEK as its corporate controller. An experienced corporate financial professional, she previously served with a landscaping franchise system where she was director of finance.

“I started my career as an accounting clerk and worked my way up, taking classes at night,” she said. “I earned my MBA and became a certified public accountant, eventually becoming director of finance. All that experience was invaluable in preparing me for my current CFO position at PIRTEK.” Gubera is also a certified franchise executive through the International Franchise Association.

A native Floridian, Gubera said she especially enjoys working with the individual franchisees, helping provide guidance on issues related to accounting and finance. “I have significant interaction with the business owners, which is one of the most fulfilling aspects of my job,” she said, adding that her work as CFO will revolve around “continuing to grow the brand and assisting the franchisees in growing their businesses.”

PIRTEK grew significantly in 2017, opening 12 new locations across the United States. Much of the growth is the result of the company’s Tier 2 program, implemented in 2016. This model of franchise ownership allows entrepreneurs to start PIRTEK locations at a lower cost and quicker time to market. The franchisee who opts for Tier 2 can keep PIRTEK inventory in a warehouse or storage facility and lease two Mobile Service Vehicles. Tier 2 also provides a path to Tier 1 ownership for franchisees.
