There’s no watercooler or coffee shop talk, so virtual networking (#vNetworking) is what’s on trend! Leading the way is Recycle Colorado, the statewide nonprofit, with the launch of their inaugural membership appreciation event, which embodied the organization’s quick pivot to the virtual world and use of affordable platforms. The fast pace of the meeting February 25 and the diverse lineup of speakers from key recycling industry sectors provided quality information in an attention-keeping format. The dedicated opportunities for members to connect catalyzed engagement and was a new way for members to engage.

The Republic Services | Gallegos Sanitation premier sponsorship supported the event, allowing industry representatives and the public to attend for free by alleviating the typical financial barriers events carry. “Wow! Recycle Colorado really brought exciting engagement and ‘aha’ moments to the inaugural membership event,” said Holli McElwee, Municipal Sales Manager for Republic Services Northern Colorado Division. “It was great to connect with so many stakeholders, learn how the Board of Directors can assist, better understand each members’ unique niche(s), and how their work contributes to the greater environmental sustainability picture for our communities and this beautiful state we all call home.”

Being part of an organization, especially now, is extremely important for businesses and communities. Recycle Colorado is proud to provide opportunities for everyone in the state to get involved and participate. The following companies were featured during the event:
