On July 31, the Florida Recycling Partnership will hosta recycling workshop and tour at Coca-Cola Beverages Florida, LLC (Coke Florida) in Tampa. Coke Florida is a family-owned, independent Coca-Cola bottler with exclusive territory that covers more than 18 million consumers across 47 Florida counties and includes the major metropolitan markets of Jacksonville, Miami, Orlando and Tampa. Coke Florida manufactures, sells and distributes more than 600 products of The Coca-Cola Company and other partner companies.

During the workshop Jennifer Baugher, Sustainability Manager for Coke Florida will talk about their recycling programs, as well as Coke Florida’s commitment to achieving “Zero Waste to Landfill” by focusing on recycling, water stewardship, resiliency, and litter and waste reduction.

Dawn McCormick, Waste Management, Michele Vinieratos, WestRock and Stephanie Baker, KW Plastics will discuss market conditions and how certain materials are being recycled. Jarrett David from GreenCircle Certified, LLC, will talk about how certification programs can help you with your recycling plan.

The event runs from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm and will be held at the Coke Florida facility located at 9102 Sabal Industrial Boulevard, Tampa. Networking lunch is included, and refreshments are sponsored by Coke Florida. Immediately following lunch, there will be a tour of the facility.
