Beaver County’s recycling center will close for one week next month, but when it reopens, residents will have more access than ever before. A $225,000 grant from Shell Chemicals will give a big boost to the program, allowing the recycling center at Bradys Run Park in Brighton Township to be open four days each week plus one Saturday each month, said Holly Vogt, director of Beaver County’s waste management program.

Currently, the center is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Vogt said. Beginning Oct. 21, the center will have hours Monday through Thursday, plus the third Saturday of each month. “We’re hoping the residents of Beaver County will like that,” Vogt said.
