Food Waste on the Rise During Pandemic

With much of the country staying home, food waste has increased by not just the home consumer, but by food distributors and farms. While restaurants, hotels and schools close, many of the nation’s largest farms dump thousands of gallons of milk, smash millions of eggs, and plow acres of fresh vegetables that they can no longer sell.
