J. P. Mascaro & Sons already has a contract with Whitemarsh Township for the curbside collection of the Township’s residential single stream recyclables, which are to be taken to a processing facility designated by the Township.

On February 22, 2018, Whitemarsh Township designated Mascaro’s fully-automated 85,000 sq. ft. TotalRecycle single stream recycling facility in Exeter Township, Berks County, for the processing and marketing of Township residential recyclables, and it entered into a contract with Mascaro for that purpose.

The contract is for one year, with an option year available to the Township, and it will start on March 18, 2018.

Whitemarsh Township joins the growing list of municipalities whose recyclables are handled by Mascaro and processed at TotalRecycle.  It is estimated that Whitemarsh Township will generate 1,800 tons of recyclables annually.

Opened in 2016, Mascaro’s TotalRecycle facility has the latest single stream recycling automated technology that results in the “Highest Quality” of end-use recyclables for marketing.

The TotalRecycle facility is managed by Joseph P. Mascaro, the son of Mascaro Company President, Pat Mascaro.  Under his leadership, TotalRecycle has processed and marketed over 275 million pounds of recyclables since opening its doors.

Speaking to his TotalRecycle facility operation, Joseph Mascaro said, “Our facility is one of the premier single stream recycling facilities in the country, and we welcome the opportunity to process and market Whitemarsh Township’s recyclables.”

Founded and headquartered in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, J. P. Mascaro & Sons, a privately-owned and family-operated business, is a fully-integrated waste service company and a leader in the industry.
