2022 Illinois Recycling Foundation Annual Conference: “Recycling: The Secret Weapon to Combat Climate Change”

The Illinois Recycling Foundation is proud to bring businesses involved in reuse, recycling and composting together with government, educators and environmentalists for a two-day in person conference at Joliet Junior College, 1215 Houbolt Road, Joliet, IL 60431. Opening the Conference is Senator Holmes followed by the event Key Note Bob Gedert, National Recycling Coalition President. Conference attendees will be offered presentations from respected and notable professionals on a variety of topics impacting the reuse, recycling and composting sectors in Illinois and around the globe. City managers, public works directors, facility directors, educators, as well as waste haulers, recyclers and composters are all encouraged to attend. Session topics include residential and student education, materials recycling and markets, legislation and advocacy, as well as market updates and solutions. In addition to educational sessions, the Conference boasts a full exhibit hall and opportunities for one of three tours, including the Campus Sustainability Walking Tour, Compost Bus Tour and Recycling Bus Tour.
