Arcwood Environmental, a national leader in sustainable waste management and environmental services, announced the official opening of its new corporate headquarters at Intech One, 6325 Digital Way, Indianapolis, IN. The new 43,000-square-foot facility brings nearly 200 employees together in a modern workspace and reinforces the company’s long-term commitment to Indianapolis. Arcwood has operated in Indianapolis for 56 years and employs more than 400 people across Central Indiana.
Formerly known as Heritage Environmental Services, Arcwood rebranded in 2025 and has grown into one of the nation’s only fully integrated hazardous waste service providers. The company helps customers manage the byproducts of progress—from hazardous and industrial waste to emerging environmental challenges—enabling innovation while protecting people and the environment.
Since being acquired by EQT, one of the world’s largest private equity firms, in January 2024, Arcwood has accelerated its growth, expanding to more than 35 locations nationwide and completing five strategic acquisitions in the last 18 months. Through its integrated network of transportation, recycling, wastewater treatment, incineration, and disposal services, the company helps customers manage increasingly complex waste challenges. As sectors such as semiconductor manufacturing and pharmaceuticals continue to expand, Arcwood is growing alongside its customers by investing in new capabilities and infrastructure to support their evolving needs.
Indianapolis is one of Arcwood’s most important operating centers. In addition to its new corporate headquarters, the company operates two facilities in the greater Indianapolis area, supporting customers nationwide. The new headquarters were designed to bring employees together, encourage collaboration, and create a workspace that reflects the company’s investment in its people. Many Arcwood employees have spent years, and in many cases decades, with the company, helping build the culture and expertise that make Arcwood a trusted partner for customers and communities.
“For over half a century, Indianapolis has been the heart of our business,” said HP Nanda, CEO of Arcwood Environmental. “More than 400 Arcwood employees live and work in Central Indiana, and this new headquarters is an investment in the community where our company was built. Most importantly, it represents an investment in the people who make that possible and reflects our commitment to building a company that will continue serving customers, supporting communities, and protecting the environment for decades to come.”
