Crane Carrier announces that they have recently transitioned their production plant from Tulsa, OK to New Philadelphia, OH.  This strategic move allowed Crane Carrier to consolidate the business with their counterpart, Kimble Mixer, one of the other product lines within of Hines Specialty Vehicle Group. According to Nate Washington, Vice President of On-Highway & Dealer Sales, “It provided the opportunity to come up with some  develop synergies between the two companies regarding the chassis and the cab platforms for those various product lines. Now, that they’ve we’ve merged and everything is together under one roof, we have the best of both worlds, resulting in a higher quality product.”

While Crane Carrier had been a staple in Tulsa for more than 60 years, the previous building required a lot of upkeep and so it made sense to move production to a state-of-the-art facility. New Philadelphia was chosen because the Kimble Mixers product lines already occupied the space and Crane Carrier wanted take advantage of the capacity and infrastructure in order to expand and leverage the synergies created by both companies. The state-of-the-art facility in New Philadelphia, OH is less than 10 years old, 132,000 square feet, which allows room for expansion and growth, and the whole complex sits on 50 acres. “The end result is that now Since we we’ve got have the capacity in the current facility for us to build about 1,400 trucks per year, so the move really made sense. Now that the dust has begun to settled, we’ve been bringing conducting more plant tours with new and existing customers; through and have gotten great very positive feedback. We truly believe it was the right thing to do in order to help enhance our capabilities, build our sensibilities increase our synergies and leverage the our newer state-of-the-art facility in New Philadelphia.”
