SWANA is an organization of  professionals committed to advancing from solid waste management to resource management. We celebrate our environment every day, and on April 22 we celebrate Earth Day. Earth Day (April 22) marks the anniversary of what many consider the birth of the modern environmental movement in 1970. Earth Day helps raise awareness and show appreciation for our earthly resources. For Earth Day 2015, SWANA wants to remind you of the availability of the “Top 10 in the Bin” toolkit. The “Top 10 in the Bin” toolkit was developed in partnership with Keep America Beautiful, National Waste & Recycling Association and the U.S. EPA. This effort, which offers a unified and simple infographic, helps to answer the question – “What can I recycle?” – in a clear, concise and positive way by listing several of the most widely and easily recycled items.    A variety of resources are found at http://americarecyclesday.org/toolkit . All can be downloaded for local use; several can be customized to add local recycling contact information As you celebrate Earth Day in your own way, we hope these tools will be useful in your efforts. We want to know… How Are You Celebrating Earth Day 2015?
