The City of Fullerton is taking steps to involve residents in shaping its solid waste and recycling program. Two community meetings are scheduled where attendees can learn about the forthcoming waste and recycling contract and engage with representatives from the three prospective service providers.
The first meeting will be held on Thursday, July 23rd, at the Fullerton Community Center, located at 340 W. Commonwealth Ave., from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. The format of this meeting will be open-house, allowing participants to drop in at their convenience within the scheduled timeframe.
The second opportunity for community engagement will take place on Tuesday, July 28th, at the Hunt Branch Library, situated at 201 S. Basque Ave., also from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, following the same open-house format.
Residents will have the chance to meet with representatives from the three prospective haulers: Republic Services, CR&R Environmental Services, and Valley Vista Services. This format allows for informal discussions where attendees can ask questions, gather information, and collect promotional materials.
