Screening and crushing industry leader McCloskey International has added New Zealand company Sanland Equipment Ltd. to its global network of distributors. Based in Auckland, New Zealand, Sanland offers a complete service to the quarrying, mining and recycling industry in the local, Oceania and South- East Asian markets. With a focus primarily on the aggregate and quarry industries, the company also is also actively involved in the agricultural limestone, concrete, asphalt and glass recycling industries.

The addition of Sanland fills a key niche in McCloskey’s global presence. “Having Sanland on board will further strengthen our distribution network globally. New Zealand is a market with huge potential, particularly in quarrying and recycling. These present some unique and exciting possibilities that we anticipate will contribute to our growth in the marketplace,” said John O’Neill, Vice-President of Marketing & Sales for McCloskey International. “Sanland has excellent relationships in both the public and private sector, and working together will benefit not only our companies but – more importantly – their customers. “

Sanland.is in a strong position to support the sales of McCloskey equipment in the region, with a full service workshop located in Auckland. Trevor Heaphy, Sanland Equipment, noted that “in the next five years, we anticipate growth in the aggregate sector as New Zealand steadily pulls out of the global financial crisis. In addition, concrete recycling is becoming a more visible sector. McCloskey’s range of mobile crushers and screeners have a proven track record in this application – it’s a well known and respected brand that offers the full range of products.”

Sanland will be introducing McCloskey crushers into the market, which to date has only experienced the screening and trommel lines. The move to bring McCloskey into the product mix allows Sanland to be a one-stop shop for all quarrying, mining and recycling needs providing quality and affordable new crushing, screening and sand washing equipment. “We have serviced the industry with static plants for more than 20 years,” added Heaphy. “Missing from our range was a fully mobile set of products. The addition of McCloskey will enable us to offer a complete service to not only our existing clients, but also open up opportunities with new customers.”
