The largest national conference focusing on municipal recycling will now be aided by a key alliance. The seventh-annual Resource Recycling Conference, to be held in late August in Minneapolis, will be conducted in partnership with the National Recycling Coalition (NRC).
As part of the collaboration, NRC leadership will assist in developing some sections of the Resource Recycling Conference agenda of educational sessions. The group will also hold its annual meeting, board elections and recycling awards ceremony in conjunction with the conference.
These steps will help the Resource Recycling Conference continue to bolster its proven ability to facilitate knowledge-sharing, networking and connectivity in the evolving realm of municipal recycling.
The 2017 Resource Recycling Conference (rrconference.com) is slated for Aug. 28-30 in Minneapolis, Minnesota and will include involvement from the Recycling Association of Minnesota. The conference, which is produced by independent trade journal publisher Resource Recycling Inc., is entering its seventh year. It is the only national conference focused exclusively on municipal recycling.
The NRC is a nonprofit organization with more than 6,000 members that is focused on promoting and enhancing recycling in the United States.

The partnership will help attendees of the Resource Recycling Conference fully understand the issues shaping the industry right now and return to their communities and businesses with the knowledge and tools needed to lift their operations.
Among the topics expected to be covered at the 2017 conference are the role of recycling in the larger circular economy, best practices to increase diversion in communities of all sizes, and tactics for combating issues such as materials contamination.
The partnership will bring benefits to the entire industry, said NRC President Bob Gedert.
