Recent Teays Valley High School graduate McKenna Kautz is the 2024 Rumpke Waste & Recycling Scholarship for Pickaway County winner. This scholarship awards $1,000 to a graduate in Pickaway County, Ohio pursuing a two or four-year degree at an accredited institution, including vocational/trade schools.

Winners are chosen based on their commitment to their academics, environmental stewardship and desire to serve the community. McKenna plans to attend the University of Cincinnati to major in Communication Design and a minor in Marketing. McKenna aims to be a communication and marketing designer to support small businesses, non-profit organizations and larger corporations that positively impact society.

“We’re pleased to award this scholarship to McKenna, who has an impressive entrepreneurial spirit and an admirable goal to contribute her skills to good causes,” said Rumpke Regional Vice President Mark O’Brien.
