3. Recycling Options

Find a recycling option—Consumer affairs says that 90% of the materials in a mattress can, in fact, be recycled. So, finding a local company that will recycle your mattress is a wonderful option. First you can look and see if your town offers mattress recycling. Or you can consider donating your used mattress to a local charity. Visit DonationTown.org to find out if a charity close to you accepts mattresses. And if you live in California, Rhode Island, Connecticut, check out Bye Bye Mattress, which is recycle guide and educator provided by the Mattress Recycling Council.
