The Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) is pleased to announce it will collaborate with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Landfill Methane Outreach Program (LMOP) to offer its National Landfill Gas Energy Workshop at SWANA’s 38th Annual Landfill Gas Symposium during SWANApalooza. SWANApalooza features key solid waste industry events in one location at one time. This year, those events will include SWANA’s 19th Annual Landfill Symposium, 38th Annual Landfill Gas Symposium, the Road to Zero Waste Conference, the SWANA Training and Exam Center, and LMOP’s National Landfill Gas Energy Workshop. “SWANA is very pleased to be working with LMOP to bring their workshop to attendees of the Landfill Gas Symposium,” said John H. Skinner, Ph.D., SWANA’s executive director and CEO. “This collaboration affords both groups the opportunity to reach a larger audience and provide across-section of valuable information to industry professionals in one setting.” LMOP’s National Landfill Gas Energy Workshop will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2015, and will highlight recent successes in landfill gas energy projects and include recognition of the 2014 LMOP Project and Partner of the Year Awardees. LMOP is currently seeking presentations about best practices in landfill emission management and landfill gas energy projects. The workshop is free to attend, but it does require registration.
