Texas Disposal Systems (TDS) announces that it has been honored with a Freedom Award Nomination Certificate by the Texas Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR). This special recognition highlights TDS’s exceptional support for its employees who serve in the National Guard and Reserve.

Service member and TDS employee, Staff Sgt. Susan Muir, nominated TDS for the 2024 Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award. While TDS did not receive the award – which is the highest recognition given by the U.S. government to employers for their support of employees in the Guard and Reserve – ESGR presented TDS with a personalized certificate to recognize their distinct efforts.

Muir and Bobby Gregory, founder, CEO, and president of TDS, were invited to the award ceremony on June 1 where they were presented with the Freedom Award Nomination Certificate. “Receiving this nomination is a testament to our commitment to supporting those who serve our country,” said Gregory. “We are deeply honored and will continue to provide the best support possible to our employees who dedicate themselves to both their civilian and military duties.”

“TDS has gone above and beyond in supporting my military commitments,” said Muir. “Their unwavering support and flexibility have been invaluable, allowing me to focus on my duties without worry. TDS truly cares about their employees and consistently demonstrates a deep commitment to those who serve. I am incredibly proud to be part of such a dedicated and supportive organization.”

The Freedom Award recognizes employers who provide exceptional support to their Guard and Reserve employees. Established in 1996, the award is a prestigious acknowledgment of the critical role that employers play in supporting the U.S. military. TDS is humbled to be recognized among the award winners with this special designation.
