TruStar Energy, a national leader in development of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) fueling infrastructure, is excited to announce the hiring of Doug Howell, who will serve as Vice President of Service and Maintenance. Howell, who has had long tenures with both Waste Management, Inc., and McNeilus Truck and Manufacturing, Co., served with distinction and is known for his hands-on approach to problem solving. “TruStar Energy is excited about our next phase of growth – providing the CNG industry with a world-class service organization,” said TruStar Energy President, Adam Comora.  “Doug Howell brings integrity, passion and a ‘customer first’ attitude – which reinforces our core values at TruStar Energy,” Comora continued.  “The industry is looking for a trusted partner in servicing and maintaining their CNG infrastructure.  Under Doug’s leadership, TruStar Energy will be that partner.”

“We’re very excited to have Doug join our team,” said TruStar Energy Sales Vice President, Scott Edelbach.  Edelbach added that much of the management team had worked with Howell for many years at McNeilus and immediately shared their enthusiasm regarding his hire. “We really are a family here – and with Doug as our newest member, it’s like a homecoming,” said Edelbach. “He has the talent and tools to take us to the next level. Our customers will see that almost immediately.”

Doug’s knowledge of CNG-powered vehicles is also an exciting attribute that is readily apparent – given his 16-1/2 years of service at McNeilus, a leading CNG refuse body manufacturer, and 20 years of service with Waste Management before that. “I watched TruStar Energy grow to one of the nation’s leading developers of CNG fueling infrastructure – and was truly excited to receive and accept the offer to join the team,” said Howell, adding, “with the amount of growth projected for 2015 and beyond, I’ll be working to develop new service and maintenance programs that keep us in the forefront of our customers’ minds. Howell said his first order of business would be to develop a robust national call center and next-generation training tools for service technicians.
