Waste Pro gains two additional cities under its Tennessee service footprint this year with two five-year contracts. Waste pro will be providing solid waste collection, disposal and recycling services to residential customers in Gallaway and Germantown as well as commercial customers in surrounding areas. Waste Pro has partnered with MLGW, a local utility company to fuel six Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) trucks that will be used to service Tennessee customers. The company has invested more than $100 million in transitioning heavy waste collection trucks from its diesel fleet to cleaner burning CNG. This move has dramatically reduced emissions in the company’s operating footprint. “Waste Pro is looking forward to the partnership we are developing in the Mid-South” said Waste Pro Southern Regional Vice President Roland Joyner.
Service began on April 1st for the city of Gallaway and will begin on July 1st for the city of Germantown based out of Waste Pro’s Southaven, Mississippi operations, a suburb of Memphis, at 2187 Stateline Road. “Tennessee is an important center of industrial development,” said Waste Pro President and CEO John Jennings. “We are excited to expand our footprint in this thriving and growing marketplace.” Between Gallaway and Germantown, Waste Pro will be providing service to more than 15,000 homes.
