The Washington State Recycling Association (WSRA), a nonprofit trade organization representing the state’s diverse recycling industry, congratulates Cory Griffin of Portland, OR on designing the winning logo for the WSRA 2015 Conference Logo Contest. Griffin received a $400 prize for his ability to translate the conference theme of “Leading the Way to Zero Waste” into an artistic, professional design. The winning logo, displayed below, will be featured on all publications, banners and signs for the 2015 Conference as well as on the conference tab of the WSRA website. WSRA launched the logo contest in September to engage the community in the planning of their 35th Annual Conference to be held at The Davenport Hotel in Spokane, WA May 17-20, 2015. They received a wide variety of creative entries from talented artists across the nation.

Griffin resides in Portland, OR where he works as a full-time and freelance graphic and web designer. He has designed numerous graphics for a variety of events, and enjoys creating designs that focus on sustainability and the environment.

WSRA’s  annual Conference and Trade Show draws 300 recycling industry professionals, members of local government agencies, and retailers  each year and features  leading-edge educational sessions, celebrated local and national experts and speakers, enjoyable networking events, and over 30 exhibit hall displays. The 2015 Conference logo will be an excellent showcase of what this annual conference represents to the state of Washington.
