The Washington State Recycling Association (WSRA) Board of Directors is pleased to welcome Anne Baunach as the association’s newest Executive Director. Anne Baunach comes to WSRA with a twenty year background in mission-based organizations. Most recently, she was the Director of Advancement for Agros International, an organization that focuses on alleviating rural poverty in Central America. At Agros, Anne was responsible for fundraising, marketing, and information technology. Prior to that, she was the National Fundraising Director for the US Programs division of World Vision. Anne is a graduate of Western Washington University with a Bachelors of Arts in Business Administration and holds a Certificate in Fundraising Management from the University of Washington.

Anne Baunach began her leadership with the WSRA on the first of July and brings an extensive background in non-profit management and fundraising to the association. Anne has already begun working on the association’s strategic planning effort to identify new program objectives and activities and new funding sources.  WSRA Board President, Christopher Piercy says “The WSRA Board of Directors is excited to see Anne employ her skills and passionate energy in growing the WSRA and providing more value for our membership.”

Anne was drawn to join the staff of WSRA because of her desire to engage more people and businesses in focusing on sustainability. She looks forward to partnering with the board, the membership and the staff to make a substantial difference in the state of Washington.
