Many industries, families and commercials produce a large amount of waste every single day. Litter, rubbish, garbage, trash or any other waste has become a part of life.  Appropriate disposal of waste matters a lot to balance the environment and keep it clean, Therefore, choosing the right waste removal technique is essential to inhibit contamination that can be caused by improper waste disposal. For safe waste disposal methods, below mentioned are a few techniques.

Recycling System

Recycling is one of the best methods of waste disposal as it preserves the environment.  Recycling refers to both: the direct reuse of used products (e.g. used clothing and functioning parts removed from used vehicles) and material cycling (e.g. production of new glass from fragments, melting of the scrap iron, etc). In any way, recycling ensures that waste doesn’t get into landfills or water bodies by creating useful components out of trash. There are so many materials that can be recycled such as metals, PVC, Glass, LDPE, PP.

Recycling benefits both economic growth as well as the environment. It helps the government save the money needed for waste programs, creates employment opportunities and earn some good cash.  While recycling, it is important to distinguish whether the product is recyclable or not to ensure safety and prevent the release of toxins in the environment. You can always rely on skip bin hire service for effective waste removal and proper recycling of the waste.

Animal Feed

Animals and pets can be an effective waste disposal agent.  Animals like hamsters and rabbits feed on any scraps you give them, whereas dogs like to feed on meat bones. But make sure any leftover food doesn’t cause harm to them. Pigs are also very good waste disposal agents as they eat anything. You don’t need to owe all animals for feeding them any leftover food. Just check if someone has livestock, then plan waste disposal arrangement with them. Its win-win situation. Animals are also fed and you also get efficiently rid of waste.

Organic Reprocessing

As the name suggests, this type of recycling is applicable to organic waste like plants, food scraps and paper products. In this process of biological decomposition, organic matter forms compost, which is later used for agriculture purpose. One more gaseous waste is produced during this decomposition and that is methane gas, which is used to produce heat and electricity.  Waste materials such as vegetable peels, fruit rinds, paper mulch are the perfect source for organic reprocessing. Complexity and type of decomposition depend on whether it is for industrial or home purpose.

Complete Incineration

If you want to get rid off the waste completely, then incineration calls for combustion of waste materials and converts them into gas, heat and ash. It is also known as thermal treatment. Waste removal through thermal treatment is mostly carried out at industrial disposal sites.

It is mostly used in countries that have a shortage of land and energy released by burning waste materials is used to generate heat, electricity or steam. One main disadvantage of this method is that it causes air pollution and organic waste is also burned out which can be used to produce compost.

Sanitary Landfill Disposals

Residues from waste incineration of waste that is not suitable for material recycling or thermal treatment are deposited in landfills that are compliant with the legal requirements. If the waste does not fulfil the requirements for landfilling, it must be pre-treated. It usually involves collecting, transporting, dumping and burying of waste in a designated land. This method requires regular maintenance because gas coming from these landfills is extremely hazardous. That’s why all the other four disposal methods are better than using landfills.

Growing population demands for drastic measures that can prevent pollution at the earliest. World leaders have come together and have introduced several policies and programs to solve this global issue. Individual government has also put forth a framework for waste and resource recovery that outlines the roles and responsibilities for collective action by individuals, communities, governments as well as businesses in every country. Combine efforts of all individuals can help the world to overcome the current issues of excess waste and pollution.
