ATR (Advanced Technology Recycling) is pleased to announce the acquisition of ERS (Electronic Recycling Solutions) based in Tooele, Utah a suburb of Salt Lake City and just minutes away from some of the fastest growing tech hubs in the US. The Utah based company was formed in 2008 by Scott Campbell as a Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business and has achieved an impressive portfolio of credentials including, R2:2013, ISO: 9001, ISO: 14001, OHSAS: 18001 and Microsoft Registered Refurbisher. The company has fostered professional relationships with partners to create personalized solutions that meet their asset management and electronic recycling needs. ERS has also developed an innovative and profitable approach for sorting and processing residential material streams.
This merger will allow ERS to better serve their clients by providing them with a larger foot print of locations in order to give national consistency. ATR has a strong belief in environmental stewardship and keeping its clients’ needs as their primary focus, which is what ERS molded their business model around. Scott Campbell the founder of ERS will continue to work with ATR to help grow their rapidly expanding presence, and feels this is a great opportunity to consolidate a fragmented industry so companies have consistency with a national company that offers full service asset management and recycling services. The acquisition is part of ATR’s commitment to improve services to a growing list of customers based on the West Coast and will be used to offer Asset Management and Secure Destruction solutions to an evolving tech market in nearby Silicon Slopes. ATR is one of the few R2 Certified companies in existence that possesses a GSA Schedule and is registered by the US State Department to manage ITAR (International Traffic and Arms Regulations) grade defense articles for the DoD and Aerospace customers.
ATR currently operates (6) R2 Certified Facilities located in Pontiac Illinois (Corporate Headquarters), Peoria IL, Grand Rapids MI, San Antonio TX, Birmingham AL, Buffalo NY and recently opened up a facility in Richmond VA.
