The Caglia family-owned CARTS materials recovery facility gains a new division manager with the promotion of Mike Ledieff to the position, effective immediately. “Mike has a well-rounded background in the solid waste industry,” said Caglia Environmental’s General Manager Keith Hester. “He is the perfect choice to lead the technological development of CARTS and itscontinued growth as the leading materials recovery facility in the Central Valley.”

At fifteen years old, Ledieff’s first job in the solid waste industry happened at Jackson Disposal in Santa Fe Springs, California, where he worked as a recycling sorter and at the buyback center. Since that time, he has held the positions of Sales Manager for All Valley Environmental, General Manager for Selma Disposal and Business Development Manager at Caglia Environmental.

The Caglia family, owners of Cedar Avenue Recycling and Transfer Station, has been recycling since before the first Earth Day and as part of the Fresno Beautiful campaign in 1967. CARTS currently has the ability to process 3100 tons per day of trash, recyclables, green waste and food waste from commercial and residential customers throughout the central San Joaquin Valley.

Ledieff is excited about CARTS’ future. “I appreciate the opportunity and confidence afforded me by theCaglia organization. I look forward to the next phase of growth for CARTS, both in technology and in personnel development. This is an exciting time for CARTS and for our employees.”
