The City of Medford has teamed with composting collection company, Garbage to Garden, to offer a limited number of income-qualified residents a heavily discounted rate of $25 to receive one year of curbside compost collection service.
The program, funded through a MassDEP grant, is open to any Medford resident that already receives SNAP, TANF, SSI, SSDI, Rental Vouchers, lives in subsidized housing, or has children that receive a free or reduced lunch at Medford Public Schools qualify.
A free starter kit is also included, consisting of Rolling Bin, Table-Top Bin, and roll of liners.
