D.C. United have announced that the club and Republic Services have agreed to a multi-year partnership deal. Republic Services is a leading North American recycling and waste disposal organization based out of Phoenix, that is committed to sustainability and renewable energy. They will help fund a donation box in partnership with Leveling the Playing Field, where fans can donate lightly used sports equipment to be refreshed and distributed to under-resourced youth in the DMV area.

“D.C. United are thrilled to announce our partnership with Republic Services, whose commitment to sustainability is paramount to our club and our community,” said Jeffrey Ajluni, Senior Vice President of Corporate Partnerships, D.C. United. “Through our shared core values of improving the community, we will make Audi Field and Washington, D.C. a better place with reduced waste, renewable energy, and green space.”

Republic Services will receive prominent branding throughout Audi Field, the club’s downtown Washington, D.C. stadium, premium client appreciation benefits at D.C. United home matches, and exposure and inclusion across the club’s social and digital media channels.

“We are proud to partner with D.C. United to help bring sustainability to Audi Field and the greater DMV,” said Lisa Mears, General Manager of Republic Services Maryland. “At Republic Services, we are focused on improving the communities in which we live and work. We believe it is essential to be integrated in these communities which we serve. Through our partnership, we hope to bring communities together through the love of soccer and renewable energy.”
