Drink Tap Water – It’s Worth It

It’s a general belief that as long as we recycle, we’re not doing much harm to the environment. Unfortunately, this isn’t always the case.

The waste hierarchy ranks processes from more favorable to less favorable according to resource- and energy consumption and it clearly states that there’s more we can do than recycling: reuse and reduce. If we want to live a more sustainable life and to be more environmentally conscious, we should aim for generating less waste (ultimately no waste), but we might associate the word “reduce” with limitations. Living a zero-waste lifestyle does require planning and staying focused, but there are some easy tricks that can reduce your waste significantly and require very little. Avoiding bottled water is one of them. All you have to do is have a reusable water bottle with you and the issue is solved. How is this helpful?
