The Environmental Research & Education Foundation (EREF) announces the outstanding conclusion of our 2023 Annual Charitable Auction in New Orleans, LA. The event was a tremendous success, exceeding expectations for attendance and fundraising. The auction was held on May 3 at WasteExpo and featured items like front-load, rear-load, and roll-off trucks, truck accessories, equipment, executive outings in Chicago, San Francisco, Boston, and more.
EREF is especially grateful to its supporters whose enthusiasm and generosity were crucial to the Auction’s success. Overall, the auction raised $4.4 million for its mission to advance scientific research and create educational pathways that enable innovation in sustainable resource management practices. That amount includes:
- $3.7 million for trucks and equipment
- $575,000 for executive outings
- $60,000 in silent auction items
- $52,000 in fund-a-need gifts, direct donations toward EREF’s programs
