Phoenix City Manager Ed Zuercher has named Joe Giudice as the new director of the Public Works Department. Giudice has spent nearly two decades in municipal government and has been an industry leader in public works infrastructure and environmental programs in Arizona.  During the past seven years in executive leadership at the city of Phoenix, Giudice’s visionary and proven track record has made him a respected industry leader.

“Joe has led significant capital improvement projects including the design and construction of new facilities while ensuring Phoenix remained committed to long-range planning strategies in sustainability and environmental protection,” said Zuercher. “His commitment to public service and asset management will ensure the continual exemplary service that Phoenix strives to deliver to its residents.”

“I look forward to working alongside the dedicated public works team as we continue the city’s efforts of waste minimization, fleet electrification and energy efficient structures that are welcoming for the employees and the community,” Giudice said.
