Marc Rogoff, Ph.D. (Florida) was recognized for his service on the SWANA Division, International Board, and Executive Board at a SWANA retreat in Silver Spring, Maryland on May 31 – June 2, 2019. Marc is a Senior Consultant based in Florida with more than 38 years of experience that includes solid waste management, waste collection studies, facility feasibility assessments, and facility site selection. Throughout his career, he has directed feasibility reports for nearly two dozen solid waste projects. Marc currently sits on the editorial advisory boards at both Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) Management Magazine and Waste AdvantageMagazine. He has received several awards from SWANA, including the Distinguished Service Award, the Outstanding Contribution Award, and the Professional Achievement Award.

Marc has been actively involved in SWANA since 1981. For the past 10 years, he has served on the Collection and Transfer Technical Division. He has also held the positions of Chair and Vice Chair in the Division, and he was elected by his peers to represent them on SWANA’s International Board, which represents the 47 state chapters and the five other technical divisions. He was later elected by the other technical division chairs to represent them on the association’s Executive Board. Marc received this 2019 award for his service on the Division, the International Board, and the Executive Board.
