“Shotwell Environmental Park has been building a strong reputation for inviting the community to visit our environmentally safe construction and demolition debris (C&D) facility through community events and programs since 2020. We invite citizens to better understand the work that we do every day to provide vital disposal operations for our growing region,” said Patrick Messinger, Meridian Waste’s Area President in North Carolina.  “With Easter being celebrated so early this year on March 31, we decided to change the annual Earth Day Easter Egg Hunt that we’ve held for the past three years into something different with a more direct focus on Earth Day,” said Messinger. “This year, we’re emphasizing how our solid waste industry benefits the natural environment with the work we do daily.  We are extremely excited to offer the new event for our neighbors, community, schools, non-profit organizations, customers, and partners.”
