Meridian Waste North Carolina LLC  is welcoming the community at free kids catch and release fishing event benefitting the E.M. Holt Elementary School’s backpack program. Meridian Waste is celebrating spring with their newest community event on Saturday, April 13 from 10 am until 2 pm.

Meridian Waste North Carolina is welcoming the community to Tri-Corners Landfill to the first fishing rodeo complete with a free hotdog lunch, fishing pole giveaway,  games and fun. “We’re excited to kick off spring with our inaugural kids fishing rodeo and day of fun while we support the local backpack program for E.M. Holt Elementary School,” said General Manager Josh Gustaf. “We look forward to welcoming the community to the landfill and enjoying games, food, and a friendly fishing competition.”

Activities will include a catch and release fishing tournament for kids ages 3-15, Meridian Waste’s signature Touch-A-Truck display, where attendees can touch the trucks and heavy machinery used in the environmental services industry. Other activities will include:

  • Kids mechanical bull
  • Inflatable obstacle course
