NWRA joined other organizations on a letter to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) urging the agencies to clarify new guidance for fully vaccinated people related to returning to the workplace.

The latest CDC guidance does not require fully vaccinated people to wear a mask or practice physical distancing in any setting “except where required by federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, rules, and regulations, including local business and workplace guidance.”

“As more people become vaccinated, it is important that employers have clear guidance to ensure safe re-entry into the workplace,” said NWRA President and CEO Darrell Smith. “We urge the CDC and OSHA to bring clarity to the new guidance.”
