Recycle Florida Today, Inc. (RFT), known as Florida’s state recycling organization (SRO), has announced this year’s executive committee and board of directors, including newly ratified members for the two-year term. Joining the board are new members, John Mitchell of Coca-Cola Beverages Florida, and Sydney Yarbrough of Southwest Waste.

“I am excited about the future of this high-functioning organization. The incoming Board, along with our standing directors, bring decades of leadership and service in key areas, such as recycling education, sustainability, organics, waste reduction and diversion, environmental non-profit leadership, and machinery expertise,” said Carmen Bruno, RFT board chair.

Returning to the board are re-elected incumbents, Carmen Bruno of Hernando County, FL, Sue Flak of Indian River County, FL, and Tim Lamontagne of Lee County, FL. In addition to welcoming incoming directors, the Board elected the 2023-2024 executive committee with Carmen Bruno serving as chairperson, Tim Lamontagne as vice chairperson, Sue Flak as secretary, and Chris Snow as treasurer.

The newly elected board will serve their two-year term along with the current Board. Current directors serving RFT are Rhonda Harvey of Keep Charlotte County Beautiful, Consultant, David Hill, Dayna Miller of Waste Pro USA, and Chris Snow of Veransa.
