Solterra Recycling Solutions (“Solterra”) announced today that it has completed the acquisition of Bridge Disposal, a provider of solid waste collection services.  Bridge Disposal, based in New Brunswick, New Jersey, services residential, commercial and industrial customers throughout Central New Jersey.  The acquisition of Bridge Disposal, which closed on June 30, 2016, comes on the heels of the Company’s refinancing of its credit facility in April 2016.

“We are excited to continue building and strengthening our footprint in New Jersey,” said Ed Apuzzi, CEO of Solterra.  “This acquisition reflects our strategy of building density and scale in markets we know well.”

Joe LoVerde, COO of Solterra, added “Bridge Disposal has earned a stellar reputation by operating with a customer and community focused mindset, and we look forward to continuing those practices and enhancing capabilities as we bring Bridge Disposal into the Solterra platform.”

Based in Ewing, New Jersey, Solterra is a leading provider of non-hazardous solid waste, organic waste and recyclables collection and hauling services.  The Company serves over 30 municipalities, 400,000 residential households and 2,000 commercial customers throughout central and north New Jersey and in the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
Solterra was formed to serve as a growth platform with the goal of building a scalable and integrated solid waste focused environmental services operation.  The Company is poised to execute on its strategy of building density in the New Jersey market and expanding into adjacent markets by completing tuck-in and platform acquisitions and winning new collection contracts.  Solterra is led by Ed Apuzzi (CEO) and Joe LoVerde (COO), who previously ran Progressive Waste’s operations in the northeastern United States.
