SWACO recognizes Sarah Riebel, Landfill Maintenance Specialist, for her outstanding contributions and leadership within the organization. In a predominantly male-dominated industry, Sarah’s dedication, versatility and commitment to excellence sets her apart as a remarkable female employee in waste management.   As a landfill maintenance specialist, Sarah actively contributes to the maintenance of support equipment, operating water trucks for dust control, the cleaning of roadways, helping with truck tipper operations and effectively organizing and overseeing a team of up to 20 staff and temporary laborers. Her ability to effectively coordinate and delegate tasks ensures smooth and efficient operations and her willingness to engage in various tasks showcases her versatility and dedication to the job.

Not only does Sarah excel at her assigned responsibilities, but she goes above and beyond to take on the duties of daily leachate lift station record keeping, which requires meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. “We are thrilled to acknowledge Sarah’s remarkable achievements and leadership within our organization,” said Adam Burleson, SWACO’s Operations Manager. “She consistently motivates others to perform their best and fosters a collaborative and productive work environment.
