The US Composting Council announces the election of its new executive officers and president, Patrick Geraty of St. Louis Composting, who takes over from four-term president Lorrie Loder-Rossiter of Murdoch Enterprises.
The 2018 executive officers, elected by the 2017 Board of Directors, are Greg Gelewski, Onondaga County Resource Recovery Facility, treasurer; and Bob Yost A1 Organics, secretary.
Geraty is president of St. Louis Composting, the largest composting company in the St. Louis, MO region, producing more than 1 million cubic yards annually. Geraty has been active in the US Composting Council and its board and committees since St. Louis Composting began in 1992.
“Serving as president at a time when growing compost manufacturing infrastructure is critical will be an exciting challenge,” Geraty said. “The many programs put in place under Lorrie, our past president, give a solid foundation for success going forward into our next 25 years.”
Lorrie Loder-Rossiter, who has served as a four-term president in the past decade, becomes an executive committee officer as immediate past president.
The new officers begin their terms at the Board meeting in January held at the USCC Annual Conference, COMPOST2018.
